Roof tear-offs, kitchen and bath demos, garage and estate cleanouts, sod and soil, storm cleanup. It's a 14,000-lb tandem-axle dump with a hydraulic lift: back it up, hit the remote and the load slides out. We have four identical units, so if one's booked, another usually isn't.

Check your truck before you book
A loaded unit puts about 1,400–2,100 lb on your hitch. That's more than most half-ton pickups are rated for without weight distribution (a 2026 F-150 is rated for 500 lb tongue / 5,000 lb trailer without it). Plan on a ¾-ton or larger for a loaded trip.
Hauling for work with a one-ton? A one-ton plus a loaded 14K trailer can top 26,000 lb combined, which needs a Class A CDL for commercial use. Check your truck's GCWR.

Where to dump it
Howard County: Alpha Ridge Landfill, 2350 Marriottsville Rd, Marriottsville, MD. Any resident using a trailer or rental vehicle is treated as a commercial customer: a $40 yearly permit and every load crosses the scale. Residents using a rental vehicle may also need a special-exception form approved before unloading, so call ahead. Construction debris is $106/ton plus a 2.45% card fee. Monday–Saturday only; Howard County waste only.
Every county around us weighs rented trailer loads and charges by the ton, and none opens Sunday.
Return It Loaded
Bring it back full and we take it to the scale for the county price plus $49. Saturday-afternoon renters: this is how you avoid keeping a full trailer until Monday.

Questions about the 7x14 14K Dump
Can I tow this with a half-ton truck?
Empty, maybe. Loaded, usually not. Check your exact truck in the tow checker, or rent the 6x12.
What ball size do I need?
2-5/16". If you only have a 2" ball, we have ball mounts at the yard; ask for one when you book so it's ready.
What plug does it use?
A 7-way round RV-style plug. If your truck only has a 4-pin flat plug, you'll need an adapter and a brake controller. The adapter alone won't run the brakes.
How many loads is a roof?
About 18 squares of tear-off per load. A 30-square roof is usually two loads. See Roof Day.
Can I put concrete or dirt in it?
Yes, but only to about half full; weight runs out long before space does. Some landfills refuse soil or large concrete from trailer loads, so check the county guide first.
Does the remote work if the battery dies?
Call or text us at (443) 766-0027 and we'll walk you through it. Don't try to force the bed down by hand.
What if a tire goes flat?
Every unit has a spare. Ask for it at pickup and we'll send it with you. If a tire goes flat, get fully off the road. Put on the spare if we sent one with you, then call us right away at (443) 766-0027. A nail puncture is normal wear and tear; we don't charge for it.
Can I keep it overnight in my driveway?
Usually. Some HOAs restrict trailers, so check your rules.
