Rental policies

Who can rent

Renters must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license, pass our ID check, and sign the rental agreement. When you book, you confirm that your tow vehicle, hitch, ball and brake controller are rated for the trailer when it's fully loaded. We may refuse a rental if the setup at pickup doesn't match.

Card hold

At pickup we place an authorization hold of $250 on your card for trailers ($500 for machines). A hold is not a charge. We release it within 24 hours after the trailer is returned and checked in. Your bank controls when it drops off your statement, usually within 3 to 10 business days.

We only charge against the hold, or your card on file, for the amounts in your rental agreement and on our pricing page: damage not covered by a waiver, missing parts, cleaning, late returns, and landfill costs under Return It Loaded. Before we charge anything, we text and email you an itemized list with photos. You have 14 days to dispute it with us. If the cost is more than the hold, we bill the card on file for the difference.

After-hours pickup and late returns

You can pick up and return 24/7. Return during staffed hours (8am–6pm) and there’s no fee. Drop off after 6pm closing: $25 late drop-off fee. Not back by 7am the next morning: we charge another rental day. Text EXTEND before your return time to add days.

Cleaning

$75 if debris is left in the bed. We send a photo first.

Flat tires

Every unit has a spare, which we send with you on request. If a tire goes flat, get fully off the road. Put on the spare if we sent one with you, then call us right away at (443) 766-0027. A nail puncture is normal wear and tear and isn't billed.

Fuel (machines)

Skid steers and mini excavators go out with a full tank. Return them full, or we refuel at $8 a gallon and show you the gallons on your receipt. Trailers have no fuel charge.

Damage and the optional damage waiver

You're responsible for damage to the trailer during your rental, up to repair or replacement cost, unless you buy a damage waiver. The waiver is optional and is not insurance. It costs 15% of your rental price, and with it the most you pay for covered accidental damage is $250 per incident. Covered: body, fenders, lights, gates and doors, ramps, the dump hoist and wheels. Before you buy it, check whether your own auto or business insurance covers rented trailers.

The waiver does not apply to damage from: overloading past the posted payload; towing with a vehicle, hitch or brake controller not rated for the loaded trailer; hauling prohibited or hazardous materials; a driver not named on the agreement; intentional damage or reckless use; or any other breach of the rental agreement. It also does not cover theft of a trailer left without the coupler lock we provide, lost tarps, straps or chains, or damage to other people's property, which falls under your own auto insurance. Your agreement shows the waiver charge and the total for your rental before you sign.

Cancellation

Full refund up to 24 hours before pickup. Inside 24 hours, a full credit for a future rental. No-shows forfeit the first day.

Prohibited use

No hazardous materials, no overloading past the posted payload, no towing with an under-rated vehicle, and no subrenting.

Billing stop

Billing stops when you text OFF from the return bay. You get a timestamped confirmation.
